thin lizzy is definitely my favourite version of whiskey in the jar, not too fussed on metallicas version.

Good call! Thin does a sweet take on this tune…it’s almost like they stripped it down to an acoustic version played electrically. Tasty!

brilliant video! i’m only new to the guitar but i learnt this in like a half hour

If you could do The Fields Of Athenry that would be brilliant!!

only thing bout that video is that bit bout it being in an irish club. I’m from Ireland and ya wouldnt be hearing that in the clubs. in the Pubs yeah it’d be going but wouldnt make it into the clubs!!

Nice little lesson but I would suggest the following modified chord sequence to include another Em and D7 as follows
    line 1 and 2 G Em C G Em
    line 3 and 4 G Em C G Em
So I have added an extra Em at the expense of 1 bar of G

In the chorus I would add one extra chord of D7 at the end
so we have D for Musha ringum etc
the G for whack fol etc C for next hack Fol etc. Then G for There’s followed D or D7 for Whisky in the finally G for jar at the end
