As a beginner, bar chords are giving me a lot of trouble. I can’t seem to put enough pressure to hold all the strings down. Is this a common problem for a beginner? Anyways, this was a great Vid.
Yes it’s perfectly normal, that’s the way I started too. The reason for me is that I always thought if I pushed down too hard on the neck, it would brake. I was horribly mistaken..
yes! lol , i use to read these comments 3 months ago when i could not do it, i really thought i would never get it, just keep practicing and you will get it … dont ive up
Its finger strength – it comes with time – I’m just getting it now and I swear i’m not doing anything different other than my hand is a lot stronger and my fingertips are tougher so they can stand having more pressure put through them without me going “oww!”
Guys my barre chords doesnt sound good, like there is always a BZZZZ when i do a barre chord please help me.
i want u to be my teacher for real xD
try tuning it properly it maight help……….
thanks man.. helped a lot!
I dont think so.
Geez, bar chord are really easy and easier than power chords, yet they’re require strength.
is there a certain position that would help covering the frets properly?
maybe u need more practise……like neilpiers ….i think u need to press it more harder
one tip i got from my teacher for the bar chord is pull the guitar towards you to put more pressure on the bar…
Dude are you from around here in Bristol?
You’re a fuckin legend
I have been practicing bar chords lately. This video really helped thanks!
push your thumb against the neck while pushing down on the strings it helps
u rock thanks for the tutorial lol
bar chords are easier to play if you place your fingers on the notes first and then bar off the strings. Instead of baring then placing your fingers down. Also try not to bar off with the crease in your finger on a string, so try moving your finger either higher or lower to get the right sound
it feels like he actually talks to me….feel like im being taught one on one…thanks to the guy in the vid
it helps to sort of use the side of your finger ( just a little ) to bare… and of course keep it straight – like a capo…
FINALLY! Someone who actually explains it in a way i can understand. This guy is a good teacher.
thnakss
yes it is hard for me to press down, any tips/.?
Прикольный чувак! И играет обалденно! )
U find it easier if u place ur litle finger & ring finger (middle finger) on the notes 1st. bar off the rest with 1st finger. if ur bar finger is higher then the pressure on the high E & B strings wil come from the botom of ur finger making less strain on the top of ur finger so should be easier that way. Remember play all the strings 1 at a time. If sum dont ring, luk at ur bar finger & make sure the crease of ur finger isnt over a string as this wil stop it from ringin, check all fingers aswel
